Volunteer Requirements
Volunteers & Coaching
Ironton National Little League is built on the dedication of volunteers who care about kids, the game, and our community. From coaching on the field to helping behind the scenes, volunteers play a vital role in creating a positive and rewarding experience for every player.
The Volunteer Process
Three quick steps — then we’ll take it from there. This process helps keep INLL safe, organized, and consistent.
Step 1: Little League University
Create your profile with Little League University and complete the Abuse Awareness class.
Step 2: Sports Connect Volunteer Application
Sign up through Sports Connect and complete the 2026 INLL Volunteer Application. When you submit the application, a background check is automatically performed at no cost to the volunteer.
Step 3: Complete Concussion Awareness Training
All coaches and volunteers are required to complete the CDC Heads Up for Youth Sports concussion awareness training. This course helps ensure the safety and well-being of our players by teaching how to recognize, respond to, and prevent concussions.
The training is free, completed online, and can be finished at your own pace.
Step 4: Board Review & Follow-Up
After the INLL Board reviews volunteer applications, we will contact you with next steps. Additional training may be required for coaches interested in All-Star, District, or State tournament participation.
